Kerr County

Kerr County is situated in the Texas Hill Country, 65 miles northwest of San Antonio, with a population of 52,598 as per the 2020 Census. The county covers an area of 1,100 square miles and includes Kerrville, Ingram, Center Point, Hunt, Mountain Home, and Camp Verde. Joshua D. Brown named the county after James Kerr, a congressman from Kentucky who was a native of the same state. Additionally, the western region of the county marks the starting point of the Guadalupe River's headwaters.
